How You'll Win the Holiday Season

How do you win a holiday season?

So far I've heard that phrase way too much. I think it's bull shit. There is no way of winning a holiday. I believe they mean winning against the competition. The reason with competition is that its always healthy. It keeps companies in check, otherwise its a monopoly and you don't have anything to gage yourself against.

Anyways today I travelled down to Kent to the local Best Buy's distribution center to go to vendor training meetings. A couple of vendors said that their product would help us win the holiday season. But what really bothered me (besides being told it started at noon, and then end up finding myself waiting till 12:30 for it to really start), is that my department only had 1 vendor there to present their products (Sony).

Afterwards, I got the most excellent chance to hang out with the lovely Lizzy. We went to coffee at the Starbucks by the metro-market. We caught up and were joking around again like old times. After coffee, we went to see The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. The movie was pretty bad compared to the first one, but hey, its a cheese Christmas movie made for little kids. But I was hoping that it would jump start my holiday cheer. Sadly, I'm still looking for it.

We then went to pick up my car, then I was off to visit Tommy at work before heading up home.
