Good Morning Lynnwood!

NUMBER ONE!

That is how I started my day at Best Buy, a little repetitive chanting to keep employees loyal.

So since blogging last, I now live with my Dad in Lynnwood, I got the job at Best Buy (I'm a Digital Imaging Specialist), and have been excepted to Central Washington University... and Washington State University (I'll get back to that a little later).

So, anyways, I'm now living at my dad's house. I've moved rooms twice out of rooms being fixed up. But anyways, not too much progress is happening in my opinion. Since moving in, all that has been accomplished is; a closet door has been put up, the deck and half the driveway has been pressure washed, and the kitchen cabinets have been stripped of their finishing. Just like most projects around the house for last couple of years, everything is only half done.

So after my interview, I was offered a job for 9.50 an hour with about 25 hours a week average, with the possibility of being offered a full time (like I would ever pass up college for Best Buy). But I do like working there, the discount is great, the people are generally friendly, and it seems like one of the many perfect places that I have worked that I would enjoy keep working there.
Has anyone else notice that I'm really spastic when I write? Anyways, yeah, the department I work in was short on employees for about the first 3 weeks I work there, so I was the full time guy (I was scheduled for the most hours) till they brought in another person from another department. So basically, I had to learn a lot in the short amount of time. Strange how much I'm doing at this job that could be applied to working at camp.

And finally school. So I have been battling with the College Board (the board the controls all of the SAT scores). The long story short is that they archived my scores at a weird time, told me it would cost 5 times as much as it used to to send the scores, and would take only about 2 to 3 times longer to get the score sent to colleges. The sad thing is, about a couple of days later then the time said that it would take, it was changed to 3 to 5 weeks.

So I finally conceded that the other schools would get my scores too late, so I accepted my only acceptance received from Central Washington University (no denials though). I sent central my acceptance money of $255 on Tuesday.

Today (Friday), I got my acceptance letter from Washington State University. This is just such a bad thing for me. I would like to go to WSU because I want the college experience at a big school. But I already said I was going to CWU. So what do I do? Should I call Central and ask for my deposit money back and a sorry that I no longer would like to go to they're school? I'm so confused on what to do right now. Maybe I could ask for a wavier till fall for WSU and just go to central for 2 quarters (just thought of that).

The thing with that is that I always knew I could very easily become a drifter type. I've already moved 4 times this year (from my apartment to my dad's to camp to another apartment back to my dad's then to college at the beginning of next year), then next year I know I'll not be at college for the summer, so another move there. Just confusing, it is.

Any advice?

Tim,

I'm not sure if your 31 year old sister-in-law is the person you were looking for advice from but since you asked....

I think you should do what you most want to do, scary or not. If WSU is what you really want to do, go for it. Don't worry about what the Central people will say. I'm sure people change their mind all the time. Your happiness is what's important. And you're PAYING for this school. You should go where you want to go.

Philip told me that he saw you at Best Buy the other day. I was glad to hear that you're pursuing your dreams and not letting other issues hold you back. Please know that Philip's offer of help is sincere and still stands. You guys might not be the closest of siblings but he's still your brother and cares for you (as do I).

Can't wait to hear where the road takes you next!

Jill
