God has a Master Plan, and I Guess I'm in His Demand

It's strange, I feel so much better being up here at camp. It's extremely different from the usual shit of my usual life in FW. Up here it seems like I can do anything I want when I get back. Ha, I'm sounding like a dreamer now.

Anyways, the schedule I gave out earlier is off, but not by much. We haven't switched over to that one yet. We are all still in training.

So as soon as I got up to camp on Saturday night, I stopped by at the pool to check if the camp director Bill was there. After getting my instructions, I head up to set up my room to set it up. So nice that I get my own room for through out the summer.

Anyways the first couple of days we started out with lifeguard trainning where I met Amy (sp), Kritsin, Trey, and a couple other people that were trainning to work at other camps. It went well, the hardest part was remembering all the compression rates and rescue breathe numbers. But it's all good because now I'm certified in Lifeguarding, First-Aid, CPR, Extended-Time First-Aid, and hopefully soon, AED's.

After all that fun, I met the rest of the councelours. There is Isaic (brother of Kristin), Patrick, Catherine (sister of Pat), Matt, Joel, Rob, Nick, Jenia, Simon, and the lifeguards. A weird bunch. Not at all in a bad way, a little clickish at first, but its mostly because everyone but Nick and I have worked here before. Over the first couple of days we just got certified in easy stuff like starting camp fires, cooking food, sorting out camping gear, ect.

We had a camp out, which was fun. We cooked out, ate a lot of food, played Camo (hide n' go seek, mix with flash-light tag), searched for puzzle pieces, all kinds of crazy stuff.

On Sunday day, I tried to head back to FW and Lynnwood, to visit friend and family. I got a bag ready, signed out, and started on my drive which usually takes about and hour and a half. So I get on Hwy 2, and there is traffic backed-up till monroe, maybe longer. A trip to the local McDonalds, which is about a 5 minute drive, took a half hour. So after seeing that, and the still over-inflated gas prices, I turned back and have since stayed in the area since my break has started. Crazy stuff.

Well, break is almost up, we have to start to plan for councelor trainning at 1pm today, so I'm going go enjoy the sun, maybe go on a run. Have a good week everyone.
